Wallulis</span></font></font></strong><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;"> is a Multi-Media Artist, Vocalist, and Curator. </font></font> </p> <p align="justify" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br/> </p> <p align="justify" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;">Specializing in Painting, M.Wallulis began her study in Oil and through the support of her beloved father at the age of twelve. Quickly, she bridged the gap to becoming a professional artist through private collectors and portraiture. </font></font> </p> <p align="justify" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><br/> </p> <p align="justify" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;">Among the many media on her palette:  Oil, Encaustic, and Egg Tempera Painting, Pastel Drawing, Sculpture, Poetry, and Experimental Media. Although she primarily works in Oil, M.Wallulis often utilizes everything and anything that strikes her to create a work of art. She loves to push the limits, taking art from what is "acceptable" or conventional and pushing it forward progressively into exciting territory. Recently, M. Wallulis embarked into an exploration of abstract conceptual art beginning with her </font></font><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;"><i>TimeSpace</i></font></font><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;"> series: these large paintings explore the viewer’s interactive relationship to the art via created abstract passageways (within infinite space-time). Included in her many travels is a memorable and influencial trip to Rhodes, Greece, where the artist stayed at an Orthodox monastery and was given private instruction in Iconography, Byzantine Chant, and Ancient Greek. Currently, Martha is a professional chanter at </font></font><a href="http://goholytrinity.org"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;">Holy Trinity</font></font><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;"><b> </b></font></font><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;">Greek Orthodox Church</font></font></a><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;"> as well as an active member in community events and services.</font></font></p> <p align="justify" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"> </p> <p align="justify" style="margin-bottom: 0in;"><font face="Palatino Linotype, serif"><font size="2" style="font-size: 11pt;">Martha I. Wallulis has a degree in Liberal Studies from Portland State University and a BFA in Painting from the Pacific NW College of Art (PNCA). She is a fine arts consultant, curating alternative spaces, and works as a private art dealer to help both emerging and established artists.
